If your insurance covers orthodontic treatment, you will receive the benefit of reduced personal costs. Many insurance policies have a once in a lifetime orthodontic benefit that is distinct from regular dental insurance.
The good news is that for most insurance policies, there is no difference in orthodontic coverage for out-of-network versus in-network providers. This means that you can generally see any orthodontist regardless of the dental insurance you have. Insurance policies vary, so we will be happy to review your insurance so that you know what to anticipate.
Once treatment has started, we will file your claims. To help us with your insurance filing, please complete the insurance questions on our questionnaire. When submitting a claim for orthodontic treatment, you can use more than one dental insurance.
Please remember that orthodontic insurance is a benefit for you or your child. You will be personally responsible for any balance not paid for by insurance. Some insurance companies pay out the benefits over time at monthly or quarterly intervals. If, during the course of treatment, your benefits change or are terminated, any unpaid benefits will become your responsibility.
